Italic Calligraphy – Strelley Hall

10:00am to 1:00pm

Learn about Italic Calligraphy.

For all of you that prefer calligraphy using the chisel nib, ‘Italic’ is a perfect stylish option. This workshop is for all levels.
At the beginning of the class we will look at letter formation. For those of you who are already familiar with this style we can look at flourishes and creative free style or just brush up on your skills.

Fibre pen and practice sheets are all included. Other nibs, inks, paper and holders will be available.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the workshop. Alternatively, the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food and refreshments at reasonable prices.

The course will cost £30.00 to include all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.

    As always, loved it and am going away wanting more. Would love it if you could run a follow-on class (or two). I find it difficult to manage an all day workshop so maybe a couple of classes booked at the same time might be a good idea

    Informative, enjoyable. Quality 3 hours when you can just concentrate on calligraphy. As good as ‘mindfulness’ practice.
