Gold Leaf – Bradgate Park

Come and learn how to Gold Leaf in the beautiful grounds of the Bradgate Park estate. We’re in the Visitor Centre, located at the centre of the Park at the Deer Barn. The Visitor Centre can be found by following the carriageway through the Park from either the Newtown Linford (1 mile) or the Cropston car parks (3/4 mile).

A day to learn the art of illumination using gilding techniques and real gold leaf. Enhance two initial letters with gold leaf and vibrant colours.

Gold leaf, glue, brushes and paper are all provided. There will be lots of extras available to buy on the day.

Light refreshments are included, but don’t forget to bring your own lunch as we will be having a 1/2 hour break to relax a little.

Everything is provided for the class including gold leaf initial letters and card (all yours to keep) along with Jane’s years of knowledge and information on this historic skill. Many other products for excelling at this art will be available to buy on the day

£53 per person, participants 20% discount in the Café for lunches

Car Parking Charges apply at £3. Nearest car park is Hallgates (LE7 7HQ). Blue badge Parking at Deer Barns

Course is in the upstairs room of the Visitor Centre 
(No lift available)

Blue badge parking is available within the Park by prior arrangement only. Please note this is only for the period of the course. Please call the Visitor Centre 0116 236 2713 ext 25 to arrange – please note you still need to purchase a ticket prior to admission by Rangers to the Park.
