DESCRIPTION:\nLearn the art of Modern Calligraphy at Strelley Hall in Nottinghamshire.\n\n\n\nModern calligraphy is a fresh, new style that brings a flexibility and uniqueness that is both appealing and accessible. Whereas the more traditional ‘Roundhand’ style dictates form and function, modern calligraphy lends itself to a more fluid, closer-to-your-handwriting approach.\n\n\n\nThe workshops are light-hearted, fun and aimed to give a taster of the basic skills needed to produce this very popular beautiful script. Ideal for all those personal touches to your crafted cards or for generating your own unique designs.\n\n\n\nLearn about the history of calligraphy and how to correctly hold and generate the strokes needed to create this lovely script.Finish the workshop by producing a final piece of your choice, demonstrating all that has been learned during the session.\n\n\n\nEverything is provided for the class including a basic pen nib holder and nib, practice lines, letters and paper (all yours to keep) along with Jane’s years of knowledge and information on this historic skill. Many other products for excelling at this art will be available to buy on the day.\n\n\n\nFOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the workshop.
